Researching allows you to build stronger and better units which allow you to adapt to certain situations and requirements, choosing your research should be largely dependent on the infrastructure you have available otherwise you might waste time.

*Can I speed up my research? You can fast-track research by 12 hours by clicking the gold “Accelerate” button in the used research slot.
 
*How do I cancel a Research? You can cancel a research by pressing the red x on the used research slot, but note that you will forfeit any amount of resources paid.
