Frigate are medium-sized, multi-purpose combat vessels effective at creating a solid anti-air envelope around friendly surface vessel units. They have radar to detect air, ground, and naval units as well as a ranged anti-air capability of 150. They are capable of carrying and launching 1 cruise missile every 12 hours. These units are more expensive to produce than the Corvette, but in return they promise stronger weapons, and better equipped technology for mid to late game. As a result of this they are very capable against incoming missiles and aircraft.
