Description
Warhead containing highly toxic chemicals. Used to manufacture chemical cruise missiles and chemical ballistic missiles. These warheads are focused on inflicting chemical devastation to infantry and populations.
This warhead is considered a Weapon of Mass Destruction, capable of inflicting long-lasting nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological damage upon all life forms within a massive area. Probably the strongest weapons ever invented, these are the ultimate killers – albeit with a double edge. The resulting loss of life, devastation, and contamination wrought by one of these WMD’s will not go unchecked by other nations, or by the perpetrator’s own population.
However, if you choose to incorporate them in your arsenal, you should know that, technically speaking, WMD’s are potent. When a WMD hits, it applies its initial contact damage; they also have 3 Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical (NBC) stats associated with them:
- Strength
- Radius
Damage is applied in a splash area. Damage is inflicted on all units within the splash radius, based on NBC strength. Units may have a NBC defense stat which counters this damage over time, and the civilian population can have some protection against NBC damage in the form of Underground Bunkers. It is also important to note that this warhead does also do friendly-fire damage. Any friendly units caught in the radius will also get damaged.
Warheads are produced in cities, like any other unit. Produced warheads act as currency, and are automatically deducted whenever you launch a Chemical Cruise Missile or Chemical Ballistic Missile.
