Description

Western Special Forces
Eastern Special Forces
European Special Forces

Special Forces Infantry are specifically trained in rugged terrain and in counter-insurgency missions. These elite warriors are always first on the ground and will not wait to occupy territory, instead moving on to their next kill. In terms of damage, Special Forces have the highest Hit Points attributed to an infantry unit due to their efficiency and stealth. They are absolutely invisible if they are not fighting, and being stealthy themselves, they have the capacity to reveal other stealthy units. Enemy bunkers? What enemy bunkers? Walls do not dissuade Special Forces troops, the only thing that may slow them down is a Weapon of Mass Destruction, but even then, they have some protection. And as versatile as they are, they can be strategically relocated to any location around the globe via airlift. After upgrading to tier 2 you can train them in Amphibious warfare training, allowing them to embark/disembark on provinces without harbors.

Features

This unit has the following features on its final tier:

  • Stealth - Unit is invisible when not in combat.
  • Reveal Stealth - Reveals stealth units.
  • Ignore Enemy Bunkers - Unit can directly attack hostile units stationed on bunkers, ignoring their entrenchment bonus.
  • Limited WMD Protection - Unit is better protected when attacked by missiles armed with chemical/nuclear warheads.
  • Air Assault - Unit can move/attack by using helicopters. When you give the Air Assault command, the unit will board a helicopter and move to the target location by air. If you are attacking a hostile unit, your unit’s first combat tick is executed from the air, i.e. as a helicopter attack.
  • Airlift - This unit can be transported between airports/landing strips via airlift. Note that it is completely defenseless while in the air.
  • Coastal Embarking/Disembarking - Unit can embark/disembark at any coastal province without the need for harbours.
