Description
Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles are small, highly-mobile, mainly anti-infantry vehicles designed to be air-liftable. They combine effective armour and high mobility to detect, outmaneuver, and engage enemy targets. Often used to spearhead an attack due to their well-rounded effectiveness, Combat Recon Vehicles provide invaluable reconnaissance services and are capable of revealing stealthed units.
Fast armored unit with low attack values and high vision. A good option for an early game multi-role unit, the CRV is quick, has good visibility, and no malus (see the positive Attack Modification numbers) associated with it.
Features
This unit has the following features on its final tier:
- Unlocked with Day 1 Research: Reveal Stealth - Reveals stealth units. Western doctrine gains access to this later, whereas the Eastern doctrine gains access to this earlier.
- Unlocked with Day 1 Research: Airlift - This unit can be transported between airports/landing strips via airlift. Note that it is completely defenseless while in the air. Western doctrine gains access to this later, whereas the Eastern doctrine gains access to this earlier.
- Unlocked with Day 8 Research: Air Assault - Unit can move/attack by using helicopters. When you give the Air Assault command, the unit will board a helicopter and move to the target location by air. If you are attacking a hostile unit, your unit’s first combat tick is executed from the air, i.e. as a helicopter attack. Western doctrine gains access to this later, whereas the Eastern doctrine gains access to this earlier.
- Unlocked with Day 18 Research: Limited WMD Protection - Unit is better protected when attacked by missiles armed with chemical/nuclear warheads. Western doctrine gains access to this later, whereas the Eastern doctrine gains access to this earlier.
